Brenton Gildner
Postdoctoral Researcher and Lab Manager

After completing his M.S. degree in the Hudnall group (2018), and Ph.D (2022) Brenton has stayed on as a Postdoc/Lab Manager while looking for industrial positions.  His current research is focused on exploring the development of main group catalysts supported by electrophilic carbenes. In July 2023, Brenton will being his new job at the US Environmental Protection Agency and will be sorely missed.

 

Daniel Sassenhagen

Daniel completed his undergraduate training and graduated with hi B.S. in chemistry from Texas State University in May 2023. He plans to stay on as a graduate (M.S.) student and begin exploring the photochemical reactions of diamidocarbenes.

 

Tristan Croft

Tristan formerly worked in the Hudnall group pre-COVID era and has returned to the lab post graduation in May 2023. Tristan is currently working on the synthesis of novel π-acidic carbenes.

Sydni is our current NSF-Funded REU student. Her work in the summer of 2023 will be focused on exploring new photochemical reactions of diamidocarbenes.
